Application Support Analyst

 

We find ourselves looking for an Application Support Analyst who will integrate in the GNT team in Hong Kong and perform functions such as:

 

  • Lead and coordinate investigations to resolve users' problems effectively. Formalize problems and escalate to the development team when need be. Propose workaround to unblock severe situations; Propose sustainable solutions to tackle recurrent business issues.
  • Seek feedback on escalated problems in order to follow them up and update the end user. Follow up with clients to ensure that our level of service is in line with their expectations. Liaise with other teams to take into account clients' needs/expectations/issues.
  • Estimate the risks and opportunities in our day to day job, and take initiatives to reduce the risks and improve our efficiency. Provide support to team mates when necessary, and keep operational documentation up to date.
  • Share experience and expertise to develop others. Develop collaboration with other teams in order to ease problem resolutions, prepare releases or ensure that our specificities/constraints are taken into account during change management.
  • Identify possible improvements in the information system and related business processes, and then lead their implementation. That includes steering performances optimization, identifying possible improvements in data workflow, etc...
  • Enhance user knowledge by advices, trainings.

 

PROFILE:

  • Engineering Degree holder or above3rd Party or in-house derivative risk system5+ year of Production support experienceFluent written and spoken English (French is a plus)

Autonomy to:

  • Handle day to day support activity within the agreed time frameManage Major incident / major business eventManage small project while respecting its timeline.

 

SKILLS:

  • Strong problem solving and analytical capabilities.
  • Good client management and interpersonal skills.
  • Capable of working under pressure and stress in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work on own initiative.
  • Punctual and reliable
  • IT knowledge in
  • Windows environments (basic)
  • Unix system tools (basic)
  • SQL (Sybase, Oracle) (advanced)
  • Functional knowledge in
  • Equity Products
  • Stocks, index, funds...
  • Futures, options, forward...
  • Equity swaps, variance swaps, structured products
  • Basic understanding of P&L calculation, greeks and P&L attribution in the equity word
