Client Onboarding Analyst

We find ourselves looking for a Client Onboarding Analyst who will integrate in the GNT team in Hong Kong and perform functions such as:

  • Perform verification and controls pertaining to the identity and reputation of clients (customer due diligence).
  • Analyze and form an opinion on a) the acceptability of the customer/counterparty, b) completeness of the KYC file and c) compliance with internal policy and external regulatory requirements.
  • Post KYC client documentation, taking into account business needs and regulatory requirements.
  • Production of dashboards on a regular basis to inform all stakeholders on the status of their onboarding
  • Assist in managing a dedicated hotline and mailbox for the onboarding process
  • Provide cross coverage on all team functions
  • Provide assistance and expertise to the staff on the onboarding process

Profile

  • Transversal knowledge of the services and products of the corporate and investment banking sector.
  • Ability to understand the structure of a financial transaction, understanding of key issues in relation to AML risk, ability to identify relevant sources of information
  •  Familiarity with local AML/KYC regulatory and compliance issues particularly in the banking and investments sectors
  • Analytical skills and the ability to work autonomously
  • Previous team and/or project management experience an advantage
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, sense of service, and flexibility are essential requirements
  • The position requires effectiveness, team spirit and an ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment as well as a strong interest in financial markets and banking activities
  • Eagerness to learn and to keep abreast of AML latest issues
