Paris Stock-Exchange
This initiative has as objective for the free movement of capital within Europe.
In France the two key symbolic financial institutions were the Bank of France and the Paris Stock Exchange, or Paris Bourse.
Nowadays, exchanges taking place on the stock exchange need to be proceeded quickly and their values need to be based upon real=time data. Another important element is that the stockbrokers' monopoly on the stock market is gradually disappearing, giving room to the wider range of economic institutions, including banks and investment banks.
The data must then be true, real-time, centralized, easy to diffuse and manipulable from many locations simultaneously. It is this group of requirements that results in explosive demand for IT systems.
