We find ourselves looking for an Head of Master Agreements who will integrate in the GNT team in Hong Kong and perform functions such as:

Managing the master agreement negotiation team (four members located in HK and two members located in Bangalore).
Providing reporting to and liaising with the Global Head of Master Agreements in London on the activities of the negotiation teams in HK to ensure consistency across the bank.
Resolving day-to-day issues and queries raised and acting as the principal contact for Business Lines.
Providing relevant training on the mechanics of master agreements, regulatory developments.
Keeping track of, assessing and providing advice on the potential impact of regulatory developments.
Providing relevant advice on and assistance with the adoption and update of any master agreement templates, policies and guidelines used by the documentation team, pro-actively initiating any necessary changes and working with other regions and colleagues as may be required.
Representing in any industry working groups, committees or projects relating to the development of industry templates and agreements, and building relationships with other departments to best coordinate client onboarding, master agreement documentation and legal risk management duties.
Handling complex negotiations or legally sensitive files and providing effective cover for the team where required.
Obtaining netting and capacity opinions (including in-house opinions where practicable) and overseeing relevant due diligence actions in relation to negotiations undertaken by the team.
Disseminating and monitoring compliance with any applicable policies and procedures.
