We find ourselves looking for a Intermediate Unix Server Administrator who will integrate in the GNT team in Hong Kong and perform functions such as:

Handle support and project activities on UNIX perimeter in Asia Pacific.
Handle support and project activities on VMware hosts in Asia Pacific.
Participate to support shift on UNIX and VMware perimeter. Ensure any impacting issues are resolved quickly to minimize downtime for users.
Participate to change management process by handling various system upgrades and migrations in Asia Pacific.
Enforce existing Global standards for UNIX and VMware perimeter. Contribute standards evolution by proposing changes according to Asia Pacific needs
Create and maintain technical documentation for all related activities
Work in close relationships with other Infrastructure teams (GTS) as required to ensure best service delivery experience for internal clients
Be an active team player, actively contribute to regional team and help others teammates.
Other ad hoc tasks / relevant responsibilities as assigned by the management

PROFILE:

Academic Background ( degree, major )

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.

Working Experience / Technical skills / Know How

Administrator of REDHAT Enterprise Linux system (5.x / 6.x) in large scale Financial Institution for at least 2 years
Proficient in x86 hardware based platforms and performances optimization
Proficient in shell scripting with proven hands-on experience
Good knowledge of VMware stack with proven hands-on experience
knowledge of Solaris/SPARC hardware would be a plus
Good knowledge of Bind DNS mechanism and administration would be a plus
General knowledge on Storage and Database administration would be a plus
General knowledge on web based development would be a plus

SPARC Hardware would be a plus

Professional Qualification ( if applicable )

ITIL certification will be a plus
