Exotic Trading Support Unit

We find ourselves looking for an Exotic Trading Support Unit who will integrate in the GNT team in Hong Kong and perform functions such as:

  • Product scope: Exotic and Vanilla equity and Hybrid derivatives.
  • Modelling of exotic product and deals in the in-house information systems (FO to BO) based on documentation (term sheets, tickets) provided by FO;
  • Pricing of exotic trades for accuracy check, control of bookings initiated by FO;
  • Ensure booking timeliness, provide justification for any Late Booking and Amend/Cancel, develop and deploy relevant action plan to reduce the associated KPI;
  • Improve booking quality control through close monitoring of rework on exotic booking;
  • Assist FO on specific request, ensure accuracy of reports provided to the Business for their control and decision making;
  • Improvement, automation and implementation of MO processes related to global guidelines, local requirements and new businesses;
  • Strict application of the Fighting Back rules and controls;
  • Control of the activity through the Permanent Supervision controls;
  • Update/write down sensitive procedures linked to the activity;
  • Contribute to the specifications and testing of new information systems and/or enhancements;
  • Involved him/herself into team's activities.

OBJECTIVES

The mission is to ensure all trades and events on the Front office position are correctly reflected in the relevant IT system/ database in order mainly:

  • for the OPER chain to be able to ensure a smooth settlement for all operations,
  • for Front Office to have a clear and honest vision of their position and risk,
  • for FIND to be able to compute/produce economic and accounting PNL in due time. 

PROFILE

  • Equity derivatives product knowledge (payoff understanding, lifecycle events), Exotic product is a strong plus;
  • Good understanding of trader's job and hedging decision making;
  • Strong and sharp analytical skills;
  • Accuracy, swiftness, ability to work under pressure in trading environment;
  • Knowledge on VBA programming is a clear advantage;
  • Client–oriented;
  • Positive mindset, challenge and change oriented.
  • Excellent communication skills, required to interface with various internal partners (Traders, Engineers, Sales, other Middle Offices, Product Control teams, Back Offices, IT).
  • English compulsory.
